Artist Incubator Project for Songwriters & Musicians is a one-stop support center that develops the careers and creativity of local women musicians, songwriters and composers. We provide access to music production and technology training, industry professionals (management, booking agents, producers, etc.), internet exposure, and performance and recording opportunities, all within a supportive community.
WAM Corps Training is designed to introduce, support, and expand upon a traditional recording arts course of study. This coursework helps advance women in the field by providing training and hands-on experience that is either hard to find or typically denied to women. WAM Corps certificates are based on the Basic Audio Skills Certificate, which takes 6 months to complete, and continue with emphasis certificates in Music Production & Recording Engineering, Sound for Film/Video, Live Sound Reinforcement and Online Radio Production.
Girls on the Mic cultivates the next generation of women sound engineers by providing girls, ages 8-18, with women mentors and sound recording technology to facilitate small-scale recording projects that mirror professional activities and techniques. This project is made possible by funding from
AAUW.
World Wide WAM Virtual Classroom provides online, interactive learning opportunities to women from all over the world that are interested in learning audio and music technology skills. This program provides video on demand learning modules (many free to membership) and webcasts of guest speakers and live events.
