Terri has over 20 years of experience as a recording engineer, producer, songwriter, and composer. She has worked as an engineer and producer for Polygram and BMG subsidiaries, and has shared the stage with such acts as P.J. Harvey, Pixies, Throwing Muses, Flaming Lips, Fugazi, Cake, and Third Eye Blind. Folks she has worked with: Lenny Kaye (Patti Smith Group), Greg Hawkes (the Cars), MainMan (David Bowie, John Mellencamp), KRON-TV, Built for the Sea, Barbara Manning, Fiberglass Jacket, Quay, and most recently Lona in the Wolf. She is a founding member of the seminal San Francisco band Her Majesty the Baby, has received numerous awards including an ASCAP songwriting award, Boston Music Award and Bay Area Music Award nominations, is a voting member of the National Academy of the Recording Arts and Sciences and is active in the Producers and Engineers wing.

Hillary is a New York based producer/engineer who sometimes blesses WAM with her presence - she can be persuaded to come out to SF! Hillary has twiddled knobs for many bands from New York, as well as across the country and abroad. In addition to local up-and-comers you may or may not have heard of, she has also worked with established artists, such as Jeff Buckley, Jennifer Kimball, Rufus Wainwright, The Ramones, The Prids and Michael Gira (Swans, Angels Of Light). Hillary has also worked with producers such as Lenny Kaye, Henry Rollins, Genya Ravan, and Daniel Rey. Hillary's Website where you can contact her.

 



Laura Dean

Dean is a veteran recording engineer, based in San Francisco. She currently works at Tiny Telephone, a Mission district-based recording studio which opened in 1997 to provide low-cost recording for San Francisco's independent music community. Clients include Death Cab for Cutie, John Doe, Deerhoof and Mates of State. 

 



 


Hillary Burkman

Hillary.jpgHillary recently completed the Sound Recording Arts program at City College of San Francisco.  She has worked on numerous local independent film projects, including the documentary feature Opal, the episodic Web-based thriller The Steps, and Big Change, an independent drama. Burkman leads WAM's educational workshop for girls, produces video-based editorial content for WAM's website and engineers audio sessions in WAM's recording studio.
