Sharon Larson is a sound engineer who has been working in television, film, theater and in recording studios for over 20 years. "I’ve been a member of WAM since meeting them at the 2008 AES. I think they do a great job letting girls know that audio is another career path to consider. I was happy
to help them at one of their Expand Your Horizon events. ""They also do a lot for local musicians. I have participated in many of their webcasts and have spread the word about Sound Channel. WAM also does a great job of keeping members informed of all their events. Keep up the good work!"
I began in Orlando, Florida as an assistant to the Music Producer and then as RF mixer/Fisher Boom Utility for 3-1/2 seasons of “The Mickey Mouse Club”. In Nashville I was an assistant engineer at two recording studios, Ocean Way and Sony Tree Demo Studios. I mixed live TV shows at the local WB affiliate and was the Field Mixer/Boom Operator on many shoots for Jim Owens Productions/TNN. Those included covering various country artists at the Grand Old Opry and various country concerts, music videos, Fan Fair and other events. I was also an audio assistant for Opryland Productions working on concerts at the Grand Victoria Casino in Rising Sun, Indiana.
Since moving to Boise I have been a Field Mixer/Boom Operator on various shoots including: the 2009 Special Olympics, shows for WE, NBC, Lifetime, A&E, AMC, ESPN, audio restoration for “BRAVO! Common Men, UnCommon Valor”, and various commercials. I am the producer, engineer and editor for the Healthwise medical audio library. I have my Pro Tools© 8 Music and Post certification.
