Patti Moran

Patti is Director of Marketing for CompTIA, the leading global IT computer association, where she is responsible for leading global marketing programs for the certification products. She also drives new strategic partnerships and media awareness for certifications as the association undertakes a vital rebrand strategy as the association leader for the global IT industry.

Patti brings more than 17 years of experience in sales and marketing for high-tech companies, including Advent Software, Remedy, and Coremetrics. Before joining CompTIA, Patti was Director of Marketing at Coremetrics, where she was responsible for building lead generation programs to maximize sales leads. She has a keen interest in emerging technologies, and utilizing social media and Web 2.0 technologies.

Patti is a native to California, growing up in Marin County, and living most of her adult life in San Francisco. Patti's interests include music, reading, the outdoors, and animals. Patti has owned her own dog behavior and training business, and spent many years volunteering at the San Francisco Animal Care and Control (SFACC), as well as teaching classes at the Marin Humane Society (MHS). Patti is an average, but willing, dressage rider.

Patti has a passion for honest media reporting and a strong understanding of PR. Patti holds a B.A. in Communication/Journalism from California State University, Long Beach.
