WAM attends GameSoundCon 2011
WAM spent the weekend at GameSoundCon 2011 hosted at Pyramind Studios in San Francisco.
The conference featured two days worth of awesome sessions jam-packed with information and pointers on how to break into the game world from industry pros like Brian Schmidt, founder and creator of GameSoundCon and Paul Lipson, president of the Game Audio Network Guild. Stephan Schutze, a leading expert in FMOD, gave in-depth trainings on FMOD for sound designers and composers. One of the highlights was the GameSoundCon Demo Derby where aspiring game composers submitted samples of their music to be judged by a panel of audio directors in the industry.
WAM can’t say enough about the exciting new technologies and opportunities emerging in the game world as presented by GameSoundCon. Whether you’re a sound designer, composer, or audio engineer, it’s a great industry to explore and it’s growing every year!
