WAM hosted a Location Sound for Television class last night taught by Sharon Larson, a professional sound/mixer boom op that has worked on shows for NBC, Lifetime, A&E, AMC, ESPN, and various commercials.
WAM members learned about proper boom technique, the essential gear you should include in your location sound set-up (including items that camera folks might need), and common problems shooting outside vs. inside. Other topics covered were appropriate behavior on set and how to place a wireless lav on James Brown!
